I love this. :) The darkness of the overall pic really does bring out the best of this wonderful art. :) Thank you for posting this. :) It is exquisite! I hope to some day be as good as you. :P If not better. ;)

A huge thank you Shayna.....truly appreciate the encouragement :)  If you read some of my other posts to friends here on DA, you will learn that I think I lived a former life in the UK somewhere......in a gothic remote castle.  I think that is where my tendency for dark, mysterious scenes comes from :)  I love drama in art whether it be color or lack of.  There is no reason at all you can't surpass me in work quality, but first ya gotta catch up with me with almost 1 per day  :)  Some days I am much more inspired than others, and some days I just can't put my mouse down  LOL

Get your hands on as many tutorials as you can, glean a bit from each and develop your own style.....hope to see more of your work!

Welcome and thank you. :P Although coming up with 1 per day is rather difficult because I have to find my inspiration, but I will do my best to try and catch you on that one. :P And that must have been cool. I would love to go to the UK or even Ireland and visit their castles. The architecture and the history of them fascinates me, plus I love the gothic era. I will do my best to get as many tutorials as I can. God knows I could use them for most of what I want to try and do. :P Thanks again. I can't wait to see more of your art.

I do one a day due to inspiration because something like that certainly can't be forced....on days I am lacklustre in that department, I just look for models and backgrounds and download for later.  I know what I like and when I see it I grab it knowing I will make something that pleases me....hopefully anyway :)

I have been to England, but didn't really get to see any castles.  Visited Stonehenge, Bath and London....and that was absolutely out of this world.  I don't know if they still have it, but my daughter and i wanted so badly to go on the haunted castle tour of the UK.  Now THAT would have been a memorable trip!

Search here on DA for tutorials on photo manipulation, and concentrate on the basics to get started doing nice work.....such as blending and hair.  Once you start to see marked improvement, you will be surprised how much more inspired you will feel.  www.deviantart.com/resources/t…

As I mentioned earlier I tend to go for the dark scenes, but am working on one of my occasional brighter pieces.  Not sure if it will fulfill my expectations but I will give it my best :)

and I would love to travel the world. It has always been a dream, but sadly I am stuck with a minimum wage job that just barely helps me pay my bills. lol One day I hope to.

Shayna....I traveled to England for my daughter's high school graduation....so I was in my 40's.  If you truly want to travel, you will.  It's highly expensive, but rarely do you ever regret going.  It has to be one of your passions.....
